School closed because of consolidation

Museum opened

Museum closed because repairs are needed

April 1998
Open House to determine the extent of interest in preserving the museum. Responses were positive and encouraging.

June 1998
Proceeds from a garden tour sponsored by two local realtors donated to aid the museum.

February 1999
The Provisional Charter was received from the NY State Education Department

July 1999
Nineteen former students & others gathered on the school house grounds to reminisce & identify old photos for future display.

August 1999
Ownership of the museum and adjoining lodge hall transferred from the Kripplebush-Lyonsville Fire Company to the Museum Trustees.

Campaign to raise funds begins

Summer 2000
Repair work begins on the schoolhouse
